10 Tips for Educational Blogging


Educational blogging has proven to be advantageous for both student and teacher. With technology
becoming a major staple in classrooms across the country, many teachers have quickly noted the benefits of educational blogs. Once you’ve recognized the benefits of educational blogging, it is important to understand that blogs require much effort. One must be willing to dedicate the time and energy into making their blog a place for learning, creativity, expression, growth and safety. Here are ten tips to creating a quality educational blog, or to take your blog from good to great:
    • Create an unforgettable title and URL: A title should give the blog a purpose, or help explain what the blog is about. It is wise to make it simple and memorable for your readers.

    • Develop a weekly post: A weekly post that provides easy-to-read, beneficial information will give readers a reason to return to your blog.
    • Become educated on formatting: Learn about HTML coding and embedding. It is key to become familiar with embedding images, videos, links, and other resources.
    • Use widgets: Widgets allows you to add things for readers to access. Keep widgets to a minimum because too many can slow down loading time.
